About Transit 509

Hello and welcome to Transit 509, a website dedicated to covering public transportation in Eastern Washington.

With 12 transit agencies, 4 intercity bus operators, 3 “Travel Washington” intercity bus lines, and numerous rural shuttle operators, transit is an everyday part of life in the region, and so the aim of Transit 509 is to report on the news and updates of those agencies/operators.

A number of recurring blog series are also featured on Transit 509, including Transit Throwback and Epic Transit Journey/Transit Tourism.
